Lonely

In the midst of loneliness we tend to make some really dumb decisions. We compensate for our loneliness by filling our time with people who may not necessarily be great for us.  In the long run we waste time and energy that is unnecessary. It is as if we are trying to fill a void or trying to validate ourselves.  I’ll use myself as an example. Several of my friends feel as if because I’m not dating someone I must be lonely, but I beg to differ. My life is filled with meaningful things. If I want to go out I have a handful of gentlemen friends that I can go out with and have a great time.  No strings attached! It is as if I have the best of both worlds. I have no drama in my home and when I want to go out I do. The same people who feel as if I should be lonely are actually the ones who are lonely.   You’re in a relationship and miserable.  Stuck doing everything on their own and you’re the one who goes home to a mate every night.   Now, that’s lonely.  If you’re going to do that then why be in a relationship.  Don’t try to push your feeling on me when that’s not my cross to bare.  Learn to circulate with different people.  You just might find a group of folks that you can hang with. Sitting home bored to death and afraid will not solve your problems.  Get out! Circulate and stop having pity parties.
