Buyer’s Remorse
When you start talking to someone of interest you have to
look at it the same way you do when you’re buying a house. Take the time to evaluate the property. Know its worth, understand the payment, learn
about the interest and find out about the equity. Realtors have a way of
tricking you. Just before you go and look at a house they either bake cookies
or pop popcorn. This trick makes your
senses think of what it would be like to live here. It creates a cozy environment. The same thing
happens to potential mates. To many
times we are impressed with the appearance. The outsides are alluring and you may
not realize that the insides may not be a perfect fit for you. When you walk in a house you began to wonder
about how many bedrooms it holds and in which direction is the bathroom. We
wonder about the size of the kitchen, laundry room and don’t forget the back
yard. Our minds began to give us an
illusion of you living here. At times without proper research we are ready to sign
on the dotted line, but before you buy the house there is a phase called the
appraisal process. This process tells
you everything. It lists what’s good and
bad about the property. Does this
property have terminates or anything else that will affect the foundation of
the building? You’ll find out about the
conditions of the a/c and heating unit and if they will need to be replaced any
time soon. Once you make a big purchase
it’s natural to feel buyer’s remorse. You’ll wonder can I do this or do I
really want to be stuck here for 30 years.
In saying this I would like to implore you to do research on anyone of
interest. There are several free search
engines on the internet. Oh and I encourage you to search the court
systems. Majority of them host a wealth
of information regarding someone criminal background. You need to know if the person you’re
interested in if they can be left alone with your kids or your little
cousins. I can’t express the appraisal
phase of a relationship enough. LISTEN
to what the person says. I’ve learned
that most people will tell on themselves without you saying a word. You will be
amazed how some people will begin to talk and stuff rolls of their tongue like
butter. It’s a great time to find out about
the wife or husband they don’t live with, but are still connected too. The kids
they have spread all over the globe and even better their past dating history.
It’s always good to know how many people have they dated and slept with. This
information is important to you because now you’re thinking about your health
and the health of your family. One more thing about searching the court system,
you will find out about that bench warrant that they are not telling you about
or maybe the restraining order they have against them. Oh and my favorite the
child support they aren’t paying. Remember these systems are available to you
and some are free of charge, so do your research. I’d rather you know what you’re up against
rather than suffer from buyer’s remorse for the rest of your life.
