Intentions

There are times in life when you really don’t know a persons intention in regards to you. You will be blessed with some who will have great intentions, but others will have other motives.  I’ve realized in the process of knowing people and in dating that some intentions will be quick to determine and others it may take a minute.  No matter how long it takes you, once you discover the intentions don’t be hurt or lose your way if you discover they aren’t in your best interest.  My mom tends to make this statement regularly – you can find a lot about a man, you just have to wait and watch.   Some will really care about you and others will only want to sleep with you.  When you make it up in your mind that you’re not going to let your body become a doormat they will leave.  She is so right. Each person has been blessed with something folks call the 6th sense. I call it my spidey senses. In your heart you want to believe this person will do right by you, but sometimes your spidey sense say “Hold On”  “Wait a Minute”.  That’s a key time to slow things down and wait for the truth to unfold. This morning my heart went out to a friend whose heart has become a doormat for men that didn’t have good intentions for her. She’s given of her body and everything else only to discover these men have left her for other women. What did she learn from this experience?  I hope everything!  Now, she is left with the residue of a broken heart and mixed feelings because she fell for the oakie doke.  I’m not saying everyone will have bad intentions for you, but those who do it will be evident if you watch the warning signs.
