Pressing On

Sometimes your life is like a tree you have to shake it to make sure the dead leaves fall by the way side. You also have to prune it to promote it to grow but if you discover that a branch has begun to die or a disease has began to affect a portion of the tree it is at that moment when you have to decided to either cut the branch, leave it alone or allow it to kill the whole tree.    Life is so similar to a tree.   I have an American Sycamore tree in my front yard.  The neighbor desires for me to cut it down so that he can obtain some free fire wood.  He notices that there was a bad spot in the tree and almost convinced me to spend hundreds of dollars to have this tree removed, but it was after I had a professional to come out and observe the tree to discover that the issue in which the neighbor thought was horrible was actually normal.  In not cutting the tree I gained continued shade for the front of my yard and money saved in my pocket, but had I listen to my neighbor I would have been out of money and he would have profit from me listening to his bad advice.  You have to decide in your life what is worth pressing on and what is worth letting go.  When you allow multiple people to get in your ear it can cost you more than it’s worth.  I’ve decided that  God is the only person I want in my ear. He never steers me wrong nor has he ever allowed me to fall so know this there is one person you can trust and it’s God.
