Blood is Thicker Than Water

This phrase is one we tend to over use.  It’s in reference to staying true to family and disregarding those who aren’t.  We use this phrase like it’s a band-aid,  but to be honest family can mess you up just as quick as a friend.  We tend to put stock in our families as if they will never hurt us, but sometimes they do and when you get hurt  by family it cuts deeper than when a friend does you wrong.  Loyalty and Honesty are the key in any relationship.  Sometimes you can be loyal to a person who isn’t loyal to you. Honesty is something we all want, but when you have a party telling you one thing and telling another party something else it can be hard to trust.  This is why it’s important to know your circle and those who try to get close to you. It’s good to consider blood is thicker than water, but you need to check the blood because sometimes even that can be tainted.
