Don’t Use My God Like That

It always amazes me how people only know God when they need something. He is not your slot machine to deposit coins when you’re looking for a big payout. If you are going to say you know him then do me a favor and have a relationship with him and not just because Easter is a few days away. People are always saying that church folks are hypocrites and heathens but honey have you looked in the mirror. I heard the biggest Tom-foolery I’ve heard in a long time on yesterday. I was told by someone that they don’t talk about people, but then sat in my presence and ran down an elderly woman, but you say you’re real. If you going to call everyone out on their short coming then be real and tell that woman what you just said about her. Then I heard oh I don’t worry about what people do to me because God always looks out for me and he always get them back. Ok hold up God is not running some big revenge scandal in heaven because you think that’s how he should roll for you. Last but not least how do you say you believe in Tit for Tat? Hold the press. I’m blown right about now and steam is coming out my head. How can you just say the elderly woman is wrong for the things she does and you are probably 10 or 12 years under her and you just said you do Tit for Tat. Ok - really – come on. You’re older than me and both of ya’ll are elders in my book and you playing Tit for Tat. You’re too old for that foolishness. It always amazes me how people throw God in things to justify the foolishness they do. Those who know me know I didn’t bite my tongue not one bit. I let it fly off my tongue like butter. Honey you can keep God out of your childish and immature actions. Let me be the first to tell you that God doesn’t operate like that. Yes the bible says vengeance is mine said the Lord but your take on that if so twisted.
