Dodge That Bullet

I think everyone has had that moment where you see someone you dated and think Oh Lord – thank you for allow me to dodge that bullet. This weekend has been very educational for me and one I hadn’t laughed this hard in a long time. It’s funny how when your dating certain people everything starts off great until they show the real them. Then you’re feeling like oh no somebody put me out of my misery. It’s like that moment when you sleep with someone wake up and look at who’s laying next to you and then some unseemly words come to your mouth and even worst thoughts come to your mind. Well this weekend I had the privilege to catch up with an old friend who brought some light to my eyes to the point I was thinking I dodged that bullet – Thank You Lord. It’s funny when your willing to be the dedicated woman beside a mans side and he thinks there are other fish in the sea that can do it better. Child believe me that 80/20 rule ain’t nothing but the truth. Now you got a 20 who ain’t really at 20 but a 10 and you’re pulling out your hair. Child please keep it stepping because ain’t no love lost here. As I use to say I can show you that I can live so much better without you than with you, so you made that choice now stick with it. Kee ain’t even throwing a lifeline. Call Ashton Kutcher because honey you got punked. Back then I thought things could work, but I am so glad I listened to God when I saw the writing on the walls. Sometimes we tend to date people who we shouldn’t even entertain, but due to our feelings and allow our emotions to get the best of us we do so any way. Women we have a 6th sense so start using it. That feeling that says hmmmm this don’t sound right or don’t go down this street is on it honey. Don’t allow a feeling of it’s been a while since I’ve been in a relationship to get into your head. Stop entertaining men who don’t value you for the queen you are. They are looking for several dimes on the side in hopes of finally making a dollar. You are preciously and wonderfully made so don’t settle for broke back mountain when God has a knight in shinning armor waiting for you. Follow you instincts and don’t allow the talks of misguided friends or your emotions get the best of you. They could lead you down a road your not ready for, so if you can look back and say I dodged that bullet raise you glass take a sip, sit back and watch the wind blow because honey a sucker is born every minute and today wasn’t your day to be one.
