Victim

When a crime is committed it’s not that you don’t sympathize with the victim or all parties involved you just feel you don’t want anyone else to suffer for the offense that took place. Sometimes when we are the victim we don’t see that our actions and things we do cause others to become victims as well. The very thing we try to warn people of we become – creators of collateral damage. While studying the field of criminal justice it can be very intriguing when I read stories about victims. I think what impress me the most about their stories is the fact that they pick themselves up after the ordeal and they try to make it better for those who suffer the same offense. It’s hard to say you’re a victim if you keep victimizing others along the way. When will the cycle of hurt end and will healing ever come?
