Prison

Today I had a great talk with a friend and they began to tell me how their love one’s are in prison and how they couldn’t believe at their current age they were still doing foolish things. This subject has been on my mind for a while because I too am facing someone I know who is heading to a similar fate. I began to think yesterday - what is prison? Yes we know it’s a place where you lose all of your freedom as a citizen, but to be honest even though we are not locked up behind bars we can be in spiritual prison. I believe being spiritual bound and not knowing how to be free is far worse than being locked up behind bars. Have you ever had a moment where something worries you to the point where you can’t escape it. Your mind is bound to the thoughts of the unknown and if you’re not careful those thoughts can have you bound for life. As I think my mind and soul longs to stay free. Free in God and free of all things that hold me down or in bondage. It isn’t until you have accepted God into your life and been released of all of these worldly worries that you are truly free. Yes you can say prison is horrible and your limited to do the things you want to do, but I ask you this is it much different from being held captive by Satan and not knowing the feeling of being spiritually free? Never allow the things of this world to make you a slave to Satan. God loves you and there isn’t anything in this world that should take you beyond the point of no return. He loves you and he doesn’t put no more on you than you can handle. If you want to be free you can be, but if you like the feel of stress, depression and misery than you are a great candidate for the devils plans.
