They say when you decided to get closer to Christ the devil fights even harder. That is so true. When you decided to walk closer to God the enemy attacks become more frequent. You may not understand why your being attacked. At times it’s as if you sinking in quicksand and your can’t keep your head above ground. Today was a fast day and I was sitting at my desk. After having a conversation with a co-worker I was brutally attacked and talked down by an elder. I’m using the phrase elder because I’m really trying to be nice. Have you ever had one of those moments when you learn another way of doing your job that saves you time? Well that’s what I wanted to share, but my conversation was shot down like a battleship being hit by a bomber. Everything was witnessed by an innocent bystander. I began to shake my head because I was in disbelief and I so wanted to come back with something smart to say, but I didn’t. I held my tongue and began to pray. Everything started to make sense. I had been keeping to myself all day trying to keep my mind on God and listening to worship music and the devil didn’t like it. The attack was a way of getting me out of my zone and a way to take my mind off of my true focus. Say armoured up. Keep on guard for when the devil attacks. It is important to know that you don't always have to react immediately after something is said. Sometimes your first reaction or first comments can be the wrong comment. Allow God to fight your battles because his way is always the best solutions.
