Leadership

Leadership is something many people seek, but rarely have the skills to handle. In order to run a successful crew one must be willing to listen to ideas and suggestions from your crew. When you get a leader who doesn’t take into consideration of their staff then you have just opened the window to failure. I remember when I was a leader and the skills in which I established when I started out at the bottom I implemented them once I arrived to management. Sometimes your best suggestion and ideas come from those who do the work. I love the T.V. show Undercover Boss. It’s a  show about company exec learning the basic duties at the company.  Which also provides insight to what needs to be done to better the organization.   When you allow yourself to not be humble and listen to those who are on your staff you would be amazed at how far your company can go.  It’s hard to find dedicated staff, so when you find them it’s important to not mis-treat them by taking advantage of them. It is important to remember that they are here to help you, but they don’t have to stay apart of your organization or group.  It can be hard for a leader to hear that they are wrong, but when you have a leader who is willing to take the time to hear the good as well as the bad that’s the leader who can take their organization to the next level. There is no “I” in team
