A few weeks ago someone I know requested a coat rack to be installed. The email was approved and supplies were ordered to fulfill the request. When the supplies arrived an announcement was made that you’re going to hear some noise during the installations. Immediately as the installations began the very person who had requested this item began to frown and get irritated. I had to laugh because isn’t this want you asked for? You knew they were going to either have to drill or hammer in order to install the very thing you asked for, so why oh why are you looking like your irritated now. At times we tend to ask for things, but then complain when we get it. Now if you can’t handle the things that come with the items you request or want then don’t ask for it. Sometimes we request or want things, but never understand the magnitude of change that comes with it. The lesson for today is this be careful of what you ask for. It may sound great at first, but may come at a cost you may not be ready to handle.
