God Uses Misfits
I truly believe at times we fell as
if because we are unconventional or considered misfits that God doesn’t use us.
You don’t have to be a part of a secret group or society in order to be used by
God. If you have ever been a part of a
group or organization and you felt as if you didn’t fit in know this the reason
you may not fit in with certain groups is because God may have another
assignment for you. We are all here to edify the body of Christ. Just because
you don’t fit in doesn’t mean that you can’t bring souls to God. I woke up this morning with this in mind God
uses misfits or unconventional saints.
Start to look at the things you have gone through and realize that the
things you have been through will be your drawing card to bring others into
Christ. People need someone who they can
relate too. You can’t tell me anything if
you have never been through anything. My
plea to you is this - no matter if someone has made you feel as if you don’t
belong don’t allow that to be the reason you stop living for God. When someone
mistreats you or makes you feel like you’re not accepted that is your time to
pray for those who don’t have an understanding of you or your ministry. Church has been a part of my life since I was
a child and there is nothing like a feeling that you don’t belong. It’s like
high school the cool kids hang together, the head bangers hang together and
then you have the jocks and cheerleaders. Understand this you may not be able
to fit in with each group but know that you all are a part of the same union –
meaning you all attend the same school which means there is one center element
which connects you all. Everyone desires
to make it to heaven and that’s our ultimate goal so whatever you do please
make sure during your walk you don’t create collateral damage along the
way. If you don’t fit in don’t get upset just
realized that God has something different for you. Some of us will never fit in. It’s like
putting a puzzle together were all of the pieces are square and you’re a circle. My mind goes to John the Baptist – he was
unconventional. Please believe me I don’t
think I could eat what he did in the bible. He spoke on being saved and to turn away from
sin. I say this to encourage you if you
feel as if you don’t fit in God has a purpose for you. He has a plan. Don’t allow the thoughts of others to deter
you from doing God’s will. Remember God
loves everyone – even misfits.
