When someone does something nice for you it’s not because they owe you. It’s their way of showing gratitude. Never take advantage of someone’s niceness for your own personal gain. Remember to show the same type of respect to others that you want in return. My mind takes me back to a trip I was on with my family. A family member of mine knew that a friend of mine didn’t have a great deal of money, so the family member told them they would treat them to lunch. What was supposed to be a simple gesture turned into a burden. Instead of the person ordering something reasonable they ordered any and everything. I was shocked to witness this turn of events. That incident left a bitter taste in my relative’s mouth. It made them feel as if someone was trying to take advantage. When ever offered something that you don’t have to pay for be modest and always follow the lead of the person offering.
