It’s Not You / It’s Me

In a perfect world we tend to believe we do everything right. On our jobs or relationships we see everyone else as the screw up.  A thought comes to mind and you say they don’t know what they are doing or I should do it myself if I want it done right.   You began to put yourself on a self righteous pedestal.  Not realizing at times that you are the one who needs to examine yourself.  In arguments you only see your side and you never see things from a different point of view.  It’s always Me, Me, Me or I, I, I.  Sometimes it’s better to sit back and look at the whole situation to see the bigger picture.  Take the time to realize that we are all human and sometimes we are the screw up. There is nothing wrong with examining yourself to see where you can improve. It’s better to examine yourself, but there will be times when others will bring your faults to your attention.  If that happens stop and listen to them because what they are saying maybe true.  At times we tend to immediately get upset when someone tells us we are wrong. Not realizing that this person maybe telling you this out of concern.  Constructive criticism can be good if you say it the right way. So if you see yourself being confronted about your faults listen, learn and improve.
