Sodom & Gomorrah – Don’t look back

Before I was about to leave work yesterday one of my aunts had responded to a post I put on a public social website.  Minutes later she sent an inbox message to me that was filled with words of encouragement.   Some times in life we think about our decisions and things we have done. There could be things you wish you had done differently and others you wish you hadn’t at all.  My aunt stated these words “Don’t Go Back”.   I never realize how much of an impact those words had brought to my life in that quick moment.  She began to stay if God freed you from a problem/situation/person  - don’t go back. She ended her message by saying  that the problem/situation/person  in which I was dealing with was to allow me to learn a lesson from what I went through and now that I was delivered from the problem/situation/person  it is my job to move forward.  I bless God right now because it took a woman of God to break something down so simple.  It’s amazing how people around you who don’t know God and don’t want to serve him will try to convince you that you are wrong for picking a better life.   I love to say this phrase scared money doesn’t make money.  Meaning in order to get to where you need to go sometimes you have to make sacrifices.  Sometimes the devil allows people to latch onto you in hopes of deterring your blessing.  It may be delayed if you let it, but whatever God has ordained on your life it shall come to past.  My mind goes back to when God was about to destroy Sodom & Gomorrah.  One person couldn’t leave the city without turning back to think of everything they were leaving.   When you heart is stuck in the past you can never see your future.
