One thing my mom taught me was to
respect those who are older than you. At
times we may not understand what they are saying, but one thing you never do is
disrespect someone who is the sole reason why you exist. My family has a series of equalizers and they
keep order in the family. They are also the one’s you don’t want to tick
off. Reason being by any means necessary
they will get their point across. They
don’t care about your feelings or what you have to say the last thing you will
remember is seeing their face when you wake up from the ground or hospital. Now I don’t condone violence, but I will say
this much no one denies you have a voice but you will get disrespected in other
ways if you continue to disrespect others who labored for you.
Deuteronomy
6:20-25 Children, obey your
parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is
the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou
mayest live long on the earth.
