Go Back To Church
Many of us
were raised in church, but through the years we decided that the ways of the
world appealed so much better.
Everything our parents and guardians told us not to do we did because we
felt we were of age to do so. One true factor is when you are brought up in
church you don’t forget what you are taught.
It has a way of coming back to you when you need it. Never allow the thinking of others to keep
you from a relationship with God. You
can listen to sermons on DVD and even the radio, but there is nothing like
being in his building and dwelling amongst those who are seeking God with you. You’re not alone everyone there is searching
for something as well. If you’re feeling
that I’m not ready and I have to fix myself before I return - well understand
this – YOU WILL NEVER BE PERFECT. The church
is a hospital a place for healing. If you could fix yourself you wouldn’t need
God. Now if you feel as if you haven’t
found the right place to dwell then ask God to send you to the right
church. We tend to pacify our flesh with
excuses to keep us from walking the road God has laid out for us. Remember the excuse you use today will not be
accepted by God on judgment day. When
you give excuses why you don’t attend church you’re just looking for reasons to
not want to get close to him. I’m a
student and I attend some online classes, but I will tell you this much there
is nothing like an up close classroom with a teacher. On your own you tend to make judgment calls
which may not be in our best interest but when you have that up close one on
one communication and relationship - you can be amazed what question you may
ask or statement you may make to help someone else who is trying to achieve the
same thing you are. You can teach
yourself all you want but I will guarantee you one thing you’re going to miss
something along the way. Why would you
want to study for a test on your on? When
God blessed you with people on this earth who can give you the answers and help
you make the right decisions in order to pass.
It’s just that simple a student that reject help deserves to fail, but
one who makes it up in their mind that I can’t do this on my own and I don’t
want to will pass and receive the grade in which they deserve. If you were God what grade would you give
yourself? Many of us would fail because
we think if we cheat or take shortcuts that will help us but have you ever
notice when your professor gives you a book and you don’t read it there is a
moment when you’re asked something and you really have no clue as to what the
answer is. It’s because you decided a
shortcut was so much easier than enduring the road mapped for you. Decide today what’s important a shortcut to
heaven or taking the road mapped for you and knowing you actually deserve the
crown he gives you at the end. Take a moment and listen to the song attached to this entry. Allow the words to minister to your soul. My prayer is that you open your heart and allow God to speak to you. Not - what you think he wants you to do but what you know is acceptable to him.
