Assigned Seat
Flying
home from Miami I noticed a women being bullied out of claiming a seat she paid
for. She had the window seat and a man
had taken it upon himself to sit in her seat.
This big burley guy was bent on having the window seat so the lady
kindly just said she would sit in the middle.
Please forgive me but being humble was not the first thing I was
thinking when I saw this go down on the plane. Especially considering how much
I love window seats. A window seat
provides you with additional scenery instead of constantly staring at the back
of someone’s head. She quietly sat in
the middle and didn’t offer a fuss. The flight attendant called her name over
the loud speaker and immediately folks started to wonder if is she would be a
reason our plane would be delayed longer, but instead the flight attendant
allowed this woman to sit in the front row in first class. I love it how God gives us these little test
of life to see how we would handle the situation. Personally I didn’t like what
I was seeing in regards to how the man treated her and none of the flight
attendant were present when it all went down, but God was there and he heard
everything. The lesson I learned from
that is this there is no sense of showing your tail on a plane when God has
everything under control. Once the lady was moved to first class I began to
laugh and these words came to my head “You can have the window seat because God
has a place for me in first class”.
