Pet Names

            I tend to pay attention to what men call me.  When you first meet a women call her by the name she gives you.  Calling her names like baby, sweetheart, honey, sugar, shorty, baby girl and boo are a bit much for a person you really don’t know or aren’t in a relationship with.  I tend to pay attention to things like this and over my years of research I’ve discover most men who use this verbiage tend to do so because they don’t want to say the wrong name. I think Destiny’s Child said it best “Say My Name – Say My Name”.  I don’t think it’s cute that you refer to me as baby or honey when I don’t even know you.   I’m generally a nice women and will strike a conversation with anyone, but coming out of the gate calling me pet names is not a turn on it's a turn off.  Some women tend to get turned on by pet name. They immediately start thinking oh he’s really into me and they start seeing a relationship right off the break, but men understand this that tactic doesn’t work on all women.  If you want to get to know someone call them by the name they gave you when you first met.  Until your status change don’t assume that everyone likes to be referred to by pet names.
