Friend or Mate

It’s always a great feeling when you meet someone new.  You’re not sure if this person will become a friend or a mate.  One thing I tend to do is watch the way your conversation flows.  When you meet someone that you’re really into the conversation should flow.  You can talk for hours, but when you are on the phone and it’s too much dead air time that not always a good sign. Dead air time could mean two things either one you don’t know what to say or two there isn’t a connection.    What I’m about to say is something that both sides need to hear.   Women who tend to keep an eye on their age and biological clock.  They tend to always want to jump quickly when a man takes interest.  We also tend to try to make something happen and make it permanent real fast, but lately I’ve notice a few buddies of mine who tend to do the same thing. You need to pay attention to the signs.  Your conversation is always the first sign.  Another thing to realize is this not everyone you meet should be considered as a possible mate.   Some people are better friends than mates.   Also, you can’t force anything that isn’t there.  My mom has always told me that you need to learn to be a friend before you can become anything else. She also told me that ultimately the person you end up with as a possible mate should be someone you consider as a best friend.  Never try to move to fast when you meet someone.  Learn to take your time, don’t rush, don’t smoother and pay attention to the signs.  Rushing things can ultimately make you lose out on someone who just might be a great lifelong friend.
