Many of us who grew up in church may already have a praying mother in our life. I’d like to take a moment and tell you a little about mine. My mother did something that I believe all parents should do and that was to speak blessing on my life as a child. Everything that I have today I can owe it all to my praying mother. Even at times when I didn’t deserve it her prayers covered and kept me. So many times we don’t understand why our mothers tell us the things they do, but God knows all. Never take for granted the powers of a praying mother. Her prayers reach places that we can’t go. They shield us when danger is near and when the enemy would love to devour our soul, spirit and heart. If you’re a mother pray prayers of blessing over your children’s lives. There is something special about a mother’s prayer. I truly believe when they are heard by God they touch a special place in his heart. To all the mothers who have spoken a blessing over your child’s life let me be the first to say I thank you. Your prayers are heard and God honors them.
