The Thrill of the Chase

          Have you ever wondered why your ex or someone you know who is dating someone always tends to keep contacting you?  In your mind you think to yourself you have someone, so why in the world are you calling me?  You’re being contacted for several reasons.  For one it’s a thrill to them. It creates an element of excitement in which may be missing from their current relationship.  It’s just like an adrenaline rush. It’s a high and it creates a sense of living on the edge. To some it’s hot and exotic. It gives them a sense of adventure. Now believe me they could also be contacting you because they realized they messed up a good thing. Depending on the situation it may or may not be a good thing to fall back into a relationship with this person. As I like to say if the problems which were in your relationship haven’t been resolved your setting yourself back up for failure. Here is another reason why you maybe getting contacted.  This person just might be looking for a way out of their current relationship. Believe me a person who claims their in a relationship with someone and they love them will not cheat. Oh yes I said it.  Love will make you do some dumb stuff, but real love will make you go home when you feel as if you want to stray. Unconditional love will make you not even consider straying. Now I know what I just said might be a little to deep for some, but it’s true. When you’re being pursued by someone who already has a significant other always ask yourself what is the real reason why this person is interested in me?  Real men and women who aren’t happy in their current relationships end them with a clean slate before trying to bring someone else into the mix and if you find someone who doesn’t then this person is what I consider messy. Messy people enter your life, date you and then do the same thing to you that they did to the person before you.  Always evaluate the reasons for the thrill of a person’s chase and think what are their motives? Does this benefit me or will I get hurt in the end? Learn to know your worth much more than 2^nd best.  Everyone likes a winner and in my life it’s always good to know I’m #1 and the only one.
