Becareful who you follow

In May I had the opportunity to meet my favorite male celebrity. I was a bit nervous, but he actually signed my copy of the books he wrote as well as the movie is wrote as well.   As the weeks went on I continue to follow him as I have done in the past. A few months ago he did a radio interview on a local gospel station. After this interview my thoughts on him began to change. As he continued to make his weekly and sometimes bi-weekly post I began to feel as if this was not a person I wanted to follow. It was as if someone had turned on a switch and now I could see something about this person that didn't match up. For the life of me I didn't want to feel as if I was turning away from this person because they were my favorite, but as time went on my views on this person changed. God has a way of letting you see what you need to see about a person. At times we tend to ignore the very things we don't want to see, but then something occurs and the light comes on.  Now, I'm not saying you have to go on a cleaning spree and wipe out your social media account, but I will say be mindful of who you follow and even more who your children follow. A piece of mind is worth it's weight in goal.  Make sure that the person you follow is pouring something into your life that benefits you or makes you move to the next level in life.
