The world is filled with folks who love to brown-nose or as the streets like to say kiss butt. I’ve never been one to be found of this tactic, but it holds a taste of desirability for those who have come accustom to it. You come in contact with these types of people in all walks of life. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing on a sports team, local church assembly or even on your job. The funny thing about it all is that most times the person in charge can tell your trying to kiss up to them. Their senses go off when they feel as if you’re being a little too nice. It is as if someone has spread too much jelly on your peanut butter and jelly sandwich. When you have just enough the sandwich is rather divine, but add too much sweetness and you have a mess. Recently I’ve watch those around me pucker up and I mean pucker up good. I’m almost inspired to go to Sam’s Club or BJ’s and purchase a big box of chap-stick. These types of tactics tend to make normal people sick. We despise them and at times we shake our head because the people doing these actions really think it’s a way to get ahead. Let your hard work speak for you. I was always told that God will make room for your gifts and your talents. When you apply to much pressure and too much attention you then change the focus of what you’re trying to prove. The attention shifts to you because it makes the person realize why is this person doing so much extra to bring attention to them self when everyone else is just doing what comes natural. Shady motives and schemes will always fall through the cracks but real talent will always rise to the top.
